Blades, tower sections and nacelles have to reach site undamaged and in the order the installation crew needs them. EVenergy plans wind turbine transport and heavy lifting as one scope across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia: telescopic or extendable trailers and lowbeds for the components, main and supporting cranes arranged with qualified lifting partners, and the route review, lifting plans and permits that connect them.

Wind turbine transport: trailers for blades, towers and nacelles

Each component needs a different trailer. EVenergy can provide telescopic or extendable trailers and lowbeds for blades, tower sections and nacelles. The trailer type and capacity are matched to the component and confirmed in the project offer.

Route review and component transport planning

Before the first load moves, we review the route and plan component transport: the order of deliveries, the access points onto site and the permits each move needs. Logistics starts at feasibility; our three-site wind assessment in Jordan included conceptual layouts and logistics for each candidate site.

Main and supporting cranes, lifting plans and permits

Main and supporting cranes are arranged with qualified lifting partners. We prepare the lifting plans and obtain the permits, so each lift is agreed before the cranes are mobilized.

Site access and the interface with installation

Transport and lifting only work if they match the installation sequence. We manage site access and the interface with the installation team, and the work continues into wind turbine installation and commissioning. On larger projects, owner’s engineering and PMC support coordinates logistics with the civil and electrical contractors.

How the work is delivered

  1. Define the work

Agree the equipment, site access, applicable procedures, acceptance criteria and reporting format before mobilization.

  2. Execute safely

Use site risk assessments, permits, isolation controls and task-specific competence for the work being performed.

  3. Close the loop

Record findings with photographs and recommendations, then track corrective actions through handover.

Frequently asked questions

How are wind turbine blades transported by road?

Blades, tower sections and nacelles travel on telescopic or extendable trailers or lowbeds, chosen for each component. Before transport we review the route, plan the delivery sequence and site access, and arrange the permits. Trailer types and capacities are matched to the components and confirmed in the project offer.

Who supplies the cranes and trailers?

Main and supporting cranes are arranged with qualified lifting partners. EVenergy can provide telescopic or extendable trailers and lowbeds for turbine components. We plan the lifts and the transport together, so crane, trailer and installation schedules match. Equipment and capacities are confirmed in the project offer for each site.

What is included in a lifting plan?

A lifting plan sets out how each component will be lifted: the main and supporting cranes, the lift sequence, site access and the permits required. We prepare it with the qualified lifting partner and the installation team, and it is agreed before the cranes are mobilized to site.

What information do you need for a transport and lifting quote?

Send the site location, the turbine platform and number of turbines, the scope you need, from route review to lifting, and the schedule. We reply with a project-specific technical and commercial offer that confirms the equipment, capacities and the qualified lifting partners for the work.
